Senior KP leaders along with 500 workers join NC
JAMMU MARCH 13- Several prominent leaders of Kashmiri Pandits along with hundreds of workers have joined National Conference and pledged their support to progressive policies being pursued by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in steering Jammu and Kashmir to peace and heralding a new era of trust between various segments of society.
Welcoming the new entrants in the party fold, at a specially held function at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan, Sr State Vice President Mr Rattan Lal Gupta and Member Legislative Council Mr Vijay Bakaya and Sheikh Bashir Ahmad Provincial Secretary National Conference . Mr Bakaya said that  said that National Conference has all along worked for satiating the aspirations of Pandit community, who form core of the composite ethos of the State.
Those who joined the party included President Non-Camp Migrants’ Organisation Mr Nanaji Dembi, Mr B. L Bhan, Mr Kishanji Budgami and Mr Puranchand, Presidents of various committees. In all around 500, Kashmiri Pandits including youngsters pledged support to the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Vijay Bakaya dwelt on the policies and programmes of National Conference, saying sacrifices made by the party during most testing times for keeping the flag of secularism aloft has been acknowledged by even the detractors. He assured the community members that National Conference will do everything possible for mitigating their difficulties and ameliorating their lot.
Mr. Anil Dar Working President NC Minority Cell exhorted the community members to whole heatedly  vote for National Conference in the coming parliamentary election in the state . He further emphasized that the National Conference is the only political party which has stood by the community.
Sh. M.K Yogi working President NC minority cell conducted the programme and highlighted the various achievements  of NC minority cell with regard to the service this cell has rendered to the community.
Assuring whole hog support of the community to the forward looking policies of National Conference, Mr Dembi said that they will join the odyssey undertaken by the party to forge unity and strengthen the bonds of amity between various sections of society.
