Speaker asks members to bring joint resolution on new Medical Colleges in the State
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 16: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul while intervening in the House immediately after the Question Hour on the issue of setting up of new Medical Colleges in the State, asked the agitating Members to bring a joint resolution conveying gratitude to the Central Government from the entire House as also the concern of some left out areas.
Appreciating the concern of some Members who raised the issue regarding setting up of Medical Colleges in their districts, the Speaker said that the resolution, if adopted by the House will be forwarded to the Central Government with a request to consider the demand of some more hilly districts for establishing Medical Colleges.
Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah and Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani also supported the move and assured the Members that the joint resolution adopted by the House will be sent to the Central Government for accommodation of more districts for establishing Medical Colleges as per the merit and demand of the people.
The issue was raised by Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Jan, Mr. Abdul Haq Khan, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani, Ch. Zulfikar Hussain, Mr. S.S. Slathia and Balwant Singh Mankotia.
